DreamHack Open Tours continued with two opening matches as Valiance defeated Windigo 16-5 on Mirage while AVANGAR beat Ghost 16-11 on Dust2.

Windigo took on Valiance on Mirage where the Bulgarian team started the game on the CT-side. Otto "⁠ottoNd⁠" Sihvo and Nemanja "⁠huNter-⁠" Kovač's double kills gave Valiance the pistol round victory and the Serbian squad extended their lead to 4-0 thanks to huNter-'s ace in the fourth round.

The fifth round came down to a 2vs2, which Valiance won to make it 5-0. Valentin "⁠poizon⁠" Vasilev and company got on the scoreboard in the seventh round but they lost the following three to trail 9-1.

Windigo secured their second round thanks to Kamen "⁠bubble⁠" Kostadinov's double kill in the 11th round. However, unfortunately for the Bulgarians, this was the last round they picked up in the first half as they trailed 13-2 at halftime.

Valiance lost the first three rounds in the second half but hit back in the fourth, leading 14-5. They closed out the game by taking the following two rounds, winning the match with a 16-5 score.

The Group B opening match between AVANGAR and Ghost took place on Dust2 where the CT-sided CIS team won the pistol round as Sanjar "⁠SANJI⁠" Kuliev clutched a 1vs2.

Ghost planted the bomb only once in the first eight rounds, losing all of them. The North Americans picked up their first in the ninth round and made it two in a row thanks to Kenneth "⁠koosta⁠" Suen and Jason "⁠neptune⁠" Tran's double kills in the tenth round (8-2).

AVANGAR secured the final five rounds in the first half, leading 13-2 at the end of it. Joshua "⁠steel⁠" Nissan stepped up to the plate in the second pistol round, getting an ace to pick up his team's third round.

Four different AVANGAR players got a kill in the 18th round to extend their team's lead to 14-4. Ghost reached double-digits after neptune's 1vs2 clutch in the 25th round but AVANGAR finished it off two rounds later, taking the 16-11 match victory.
